Recently, A.M. Best recognized that China Re Group and China Re P&C, China Re Life, China Continent Insurance under its wings were given a financial strength rating of “A (Excellent)” and a long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) of “a” respectively. The rating outlook was stable.

　　Since the commencement of the A.M. Best’s rating in 2010, China Re Group, China Re P&C and China Re Life have been granted the “A” rating for the ninth year in a row. Since the commencement of the A.M. Best’s rating in 2014, China Continent Insurance has been granted the “A” rating for the fifth year in a row.

　　The excellent rating reflects that China Re Group has a “very strong” balance sheet, sound operating performance and a leading position in the domestic reinsurance market. It also demonstrates that China Re has a unique position as the only state-owned reinsurance group in China.
